Somewhere in the Stunning South

Hola, chica!

As I type this, I sit on my pale yellow sheets, my fluffy, fat, disheveled comforter sitting behind me. By dark brown hair is in a messy bun on the top of my head, and I am wearing a white tank top and shorts to bed (the typical southern-heat pj’s). The only light illuminating my yellow and gray room is my Macbook Air and a Bahama Fizz candle, that makes me long to be back in the Bahamas, where I spent my spring break.

This week, so far, has been so hectic! From going to a big event on Saturday, to going back to school extremely tired on Monday, to taking tests, I’ve been exhausted. Every morning, I want to crawl under my soft sheets that lull me to sleep, and close my eyes, and, well, SLEEP. Even though I’ve been getting my 9 or so hours, I still have that faint sleepiness in the cobwebs of my brain, and I can’t seem to sleep it away. Maybe I should try going to bed earlier?….every night I go to sleep at 9:30 and wake up at 6:30. And with Instagram, and a million of thoughts coming in and out of my head, going to bed, some nights, is just a distant hope.

Also, I am preparing to have one of the busiest summers of my life. That includes visiting Miami and Europe, then cheer camp. Not to mention writing a summer book report and hanging out with my friends. And getting ready for the school year. Also, I am now the captain of the cheer squad, and I am psyched x10! Our team is a really amazing group of girls, and we’re reigning champions, so fingers crossed that all goes well at cheer camp this summer. Cheer is pretty big and competitive in the South. Actually, everything is big and competitive in the South.

Am I right?

Or am I right?

This Saturday, I have a track meet, and I hope to beat my time in the 100-meter-dash. I run a 13.8, and I want to shave it down to a 13 or 13.2. It may not seem like a big difference, but in track, tenths of seconds can differentiate 1st place from 8th place. Anyway, one thing that made me really happy this weekend was that I got a new Teen Vogue! I felt that in this issue, it included so much more! One of my favorite little articles is the one about Kate Spade’s new baseball hats with a borrowed-from-boys look. It also included all of the singers that Justin Bieber and Scooter have discovered. I am a singer myself, and it is one of my dreams to be managed by

Scooter or Justin.

Today, I don’t have much. The only thing I must do is study for a Science test and a Literature Terms test, and go to dance. I hope that the tests won’t be too hard. I am extremely excited, however, that my school fair is here! The carnies have been setting up the rides and things in our school’s field. Our school fair is one of the best out of all of the private schools (due to its scary rides), so I am ecstatic to ride and eat my own little heart’s desire of candy apples and fluffy cotton candy. Which isn’t very healthy, now that I think about it…

Speaking of being healthy, I think I will soon be creating a health page. Everyone needs to be in shape for beauty season, yes? So you all should be looking forward to a summer post in a few days or so, too.

Love Y’all!
